Rachel and James’ wedding at Tower Hill Barns was a perfect autumnal day filled with emotional moments and super happy celebrations. Set against the rich, golden tones of the changing season, their wedding had a warmth and energy that was simply infectious and everyone in attendancew couldn't help but get swept up by it all.
I've definetly got to point out that this wedding was a touch special for me—not just because of the beautiful setting or the gorgeous details and an amazing couples, but because I’ve had the pleasure of photographing several weddings within this amazing group of friends. Every time I get invited back, it honestly feels like catching up with old friends. This crowd knows how to celebrate, how to make everyone feel welcome, and they always bring the fun! Certainly makes my job so easy!
Tower Hill Barns, with its rustic charm and rolling countryside views, set the perfect stage for the day. The atmosphere was relaxed but full of anticipation as Rachel got ready, surrounded by her bridesmaids in the bridal suite, whilst the wedding guests arrived in the courtyard below. She looked absolutely stunning in her dress, and when James saw her walking down the aisle, it was a moment full of emotion and pride which was fantastic to be witness to.
Rachel and James were a dream to photograph—laid-back, full of laughter, and so in love. So late in the afternoon when they'd caught up with all their guests we wandered the grounds for some portraits, catching the soft, golden light of late afternoon and letting the natural beauty of the season do its thing. Every moment felt honest and easy—exactly how wedding photography should be IMO.
As the sun dipped behind the trees, the barn lit up with the warm glow of fairy lights and the sound of clinking glasses, laughter, and great music. The dance floor was packed (as it always is with this gang!), and the evening ended in the best way possible—with everyone singing, dancing, and making memories.
Rachel and James, thank you for letting me be a part of your day—and to the whole crew, thanks once again for making me feel like one of your own. I can’t wait to see where the adventure takes you all next.
