Peckforton Castle Wedding

Peckforton Castle is pretty much the original fairytale wedding venue and I'd longed to shoot there forever so when Iain and Helen asked to be capture their special day I jumped at the chance! Iain is an old school friend and on our first meet from what they described I knew the day was going to be fun! It also had another dimension as Helen was actually pregnant at the time and wanted to celebrate that with the rest of the guests with a gender reveal wedding cake! Amazing!!!!!
So the day itself......Well it was beautiful! Helen got ready in one the stunning bridal suites and then as guests crossed the lawn in to the unbelievable grand hall to take their seats Iain prepared himself and took some time to greet everyone before the main event!
The ceremony was a real emotional affair with heartfelt vows in a wonderfully romantic setting. Then everyone made there way to lawn area and made the most of good (if not slightly windswept) weather. The afternoon flew by in a haze of cocktails, laughs and plenty of good times. Throw in some cracking speeches, a lot of fantastic food, a hog roast.....one of the best (and certainly the most meaningful) wedding cakes I'd every seen plus all of Helen and Iain's friends and family busting out there moves deep in to the night and you've got the making of a very epic wedding at Peckforton Castle!
