Jen and Joel's Winter Wedding at Iscoyd Park: A Magical Celebration

Jen and Joel's frosty winter wedding at Iscoyd Park was a celebration filled with love, friends, family and great vibes! The couple chose the historic country house as their venue, and it proved to be the perfect setting for their dream wedding which I'm so happy about as they're both such a chilled, happy couple who completely deserved it.

So a bit about the venue, well Iscoyd Park, located in the picturesque countryside of Shropshire, England, is a stunning Georgian house that has been beautifully restored and converted into a wedding venue. It also has the option for couples and guests of being able to stay in the charming and quirky Iscoyd Cottage which at only a stones throw down the road is where Jen stayed and got ready with her family. Then after putting on her beautiful dress and having quite possibly one of the most emotional father- daughter ‘first look’ moments I'd ever witnessed jumped in to a classic Nissan Figaro and made the short drive up to the main house.

There are a variety of spaces for weddings at Iscoyd Park and Jen and Joel's chose for there ceremony to take place in the main Garden Room, which was beautifully decorated with winter-themed flowers and candles which perfectly lined the aisle. The couple exchanged their vows in front of their family and friends, and the room was filled with emotion (especially from Joel. There were tears!).

After the ceremony, the guests moved to the drawing room for drinks and canapés. Everyone was enjoying the festive atmosphere and definitely the Prosecco! Meanwhile we were able to sneak off for a quick 10 minutes to grab some stunning shots of the happy couple in Iscoyd's magnificent grounds.

As the evening drew in, the guests moved back to the Garden Room Dance-floor and Marquee for the reception. The room had such an intimate and romantic feel and perfectly complemented the relaxed and candid feel of the day.

What I love about Jen + Joel is they were so certain on not seeking out conformity and wanted their wedding day to be all about what they wanted and to show a true reflection of themselves as a couple. Which is why I loved that instead of a cake cutting leading in to the first dance they instead opted for a champagne tower! Genius! Then as the daylight faded the night and party began! Jen + Joel’s live band had everyone out of the dance floor hammering it away to some absolute classics! Guests were then able to take a break from the partying and jump outside on the terrace to grab some late night wood fired pizza from the pizza van. Always a good idea and a definite crowd pleaser!

As an Iscoyd Wedding photographer I love this venue. It's such a classic and grand, off the scale house with immense grounds but it's still never pretentious and or too formal. The prefect setting for a fairytale wedding which is what I'm so happy Jen and Joel both got for their special day!
