Italian Destination wedding
So for my first Italian Destination wedding this Puglia wedding venue Casale del Murgese in Bari was pretty wow! From the epic pool, the stunning secluded, rural setting and the traditional quintessential Italian Courtyard are just some of the amazing elements this fantastic wedding venue has going for it. But what made this wedding really special was the whole atmosphere Lauren, Gary and their guests created. I mean the week was one long party and when the Venue staff tell you that they sold more alcohol during this wedding than the had in any other they've EVER had that's a pretty good endorsement that this wedding rocked! (And I guess the fact most nights ended with a pool party into the early hours also backs this up!).
On the whole; the food was sensational, the laughs were plenty and the happiness and love Lauren and Gary have for each other can plainly be seen! For a brief report of how this epic Italian destination wedding played out follow down to the end!
Casale del Murgese Wedding
So the wedding shenanigans started with the majority of the guests arriving the day before at the amazing Casale Del Murgese in Bari where pretty much everyone hit the pool (and also lots of Aperol Spritz!). Then the next day with a few sore heads the guests slowly came out of their rooms and the wedding day started! With the temperature being a scorching 35 degrees Lauren and Gary made the wise decision to hold the ceremony at 6pm which also added to the relaxed, chilled vibe and gave all the guests plenty of time to enjoy the day and get ready for the evening festivities.
Lauren had all her bridal prep on site a stone's throw away from her ceremony area surrounded by all her bridal squad INCLUDING her son/main man Jacob AND bar a Prosecco bottle explosion/cork pop (see above photo) the afternoon was super chilled and fun. Finally came game time and Lauren got in her stunning dress and was escorted down the stairs by her Grandad. There were tears!
The wedding ceremony took place on an immaculate garden area with flowing sheets wrapped around the timber pergola. Serious Destination Wedding Vibes! And with Gary having Italian Heritage and several of his Italian Family in attendance there were lots of nods and authentic moments throughout the day. Like the 23 courses of food!(or what seemed like it). The night then moved on to an amazing party which even an impromptu storm couldn't stop! Fortunately this only lasted an hour and with a quick turnaround of evening venue from courtyard to covered area and then back again it was time to kick off the dancing! First time I've ever had gigantic floor sparklers mark the start of the first dance but it was epic! The wedding went on to the early hours and just when I thought it had ended.....the wedding pool party began!
Can honestly say Lauren and Garys wedding was such a blast from start to finish so if anyone is getting married in Bari or throughout Italy and looking for destination wedding photographer get in touch!
